I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, since I first held a
paintbrush at age 2. I was always watching my mom create things,
from paper mache piggy banks, to macrame pot holders, to finely
painted figures. She seemed to get a great deal of joy and satisfaction
out of her creative outlets. She does even to this day! I have her to
thank for passing this on to me.

I'm a product of the after school art studio, where we created
clay objects, and experimented with a variety of media. I attempted
to draw and paint and just try anything that I could. The process
of making art, whether with paint, clay, paper or whatnot...
is what created a sense of warmth and wonderment in me,
the feeling of making something out of what seemed like nothing
to begin with.

My mom then entertained my desire to paint by taking me
to her friend Louise's painting studio when I turned 10, and I was
taken by the richness of oil painting and the fulfullment of
creating a likeness in a portrait.

My love for art (and the arts in general) and other artists continues to grow.
I'm fascinated by artist's stories, how they create, what inspries them, and how
they find time to make art amidst their busy lives. Is art a means
of relaxation? Recreation? Meditation? Diversion? Escape? Income? To me it is all
of these things, bringing every facet of my life together under
one umbrella of creativity.

I'm a mother of three, two school age boys and a baby
girl. Each of my kids is creative in their own right, expressing themselves
differently. Right now, Julia dances, screams and laughs. Harrison draws
constantly and is a voracious reader. Ben has a quick wit and loves to tell stories.
Sometimes I find myself needing time away to develop an idea, and
many times, collaboration with the kids is welcome and enjoyed to the hilt.
Thankfully, my husband Chris is both supportive of my endeavors and tolerant of the
messiness of living with an artist. He, along with me, dreams of a studio space...

Creating hand-made greeting cards and custom invitations is what I enjoy most, as well as helping with marketing and promotions for club and community tennis programs.
Please keep revisiting the website and check in on updates, there will be many.
